Speaking at a training workshop on Research and Methodology on Monday this week, the Vice-Chancellor, urged lecturers to set standards of good morals for students.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Buleya further urged Lecturers to respect the values of the Catholic Church.
“Strive to be good examples to these students, dedicate yourself to duties, and do not harass these students,” advised the Vice-Chancellor.
On his part, the Director of Academic Affairs Rev. Fr. Dr. Wilfred Sumani urged members of the Academic Staff to turn the university into a community of researchers.
Fr. Sumani further urged lecturers to be supportive to one another in scholarly work by recommending and citing journals, books, and articles published by the lecturers of the University.
The Director of Academic Affairs disclosed that the University will strive to continue being a centre of excellence in quality and holistic education through being a hub of research and innovations that bring positive change in the country and beyond.
The Catholic University of Malawi has over ninety lecturers serving in seven faculties namely; Commerce, Education, Law, Nursing and Midwifery, Science, Social Sciences, and Theology.
The university offers various competitive certificate, diploma and degree programs on the labour market in Malawi and beyond.
