This is part of the ongoing formation and training project addressed to priests, religious, couples and catechists, who in turn will be available for ecclesial service of family pastoral care in Kenya and the other AMECEA countries.

The courses are organized by the Philothea Missionary Society which is responsible for the Saint John Paul II College in Kenya, with Sr. Dr. Florence Kabala PMS as the Programme Director.

Msgr. Pierangelo Sequeri, the President of John Paul II Pontifical Institute (Rome), in his message congratulated the Bishops, Dr. Sr. Florence Kabala PMS, the professors, students and all the collaborators who are committed to supporting this initiative.

In the message that was read by AMECEA Secretary General Fr. Ferdinand Lugonzo, Msgr. Pierangelo spoke of the special need of qualified personnel who are able to accompany and support families and persons who find themselves in difficult situations, and of the importance of a pastoral intervention of prevention, which encourages and spreads the care for the quality of family life and its ecclesial ties.

Over 20 participants are benefiting from this first batch of the training.
