The Catholic Archbishop of Juba Most Rev Paolino Lukudu  has described the Politics of South
Archbishop Paolino Lukudu
Sudan as ‘‘immature,’’ characterized with tribalism, weaknesses in administration and governance and poor government setup.

According to CRN Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro strongly criticized the political ambience of South Sudan and said that it does not reflect a real democracy. He called on religious leaders in the country to work hard in embracing peace in the country.

The Archbishop said that the fact that South Sudanese live in one country does not necessarily mean that people should be from one background. He added that the ongoing fighting in the country was just because of division among people and that there was need to bridge that gap of tribalism.

Commenting on the peace talks going in Addis Ababa,  Ethiopia; Archbishop Lukudu said there was nothing fruitful being discussed in the peace talks because the two delegations were the same people who caused the problem and continue to point fingers at one another.

Archbishop Lukudu urged the mediating body to involve the international community and the church in order to speed up the talks and find out the root causes of the conflict.
