Most Rev. Martin Kivuva, Archbishop of Mombasa |
In readiness for the forthcoming Papal visit to Kenya from November 25th-27th all of the 26 Dioceses in the Country have begun to rally the faithful to journey with the Holy Father during his visit.
In Mombasa Archdiocese for example, Archbishop Martin Kivuva, is mobilizing the youth in a region hit by a wave of religious intolerance to take advantage of the Pontiff’s visit to preach peace and mutual existence in the Country.
Youth from different religions will congregate on 24th, November 2015 to say a prayer before leaving Mombasa in a caravan of peace and make stop overs in Voi and Machakos towns to send messages of peace and welcome the Pope.
Some of their messages include: “Pope Francis for peace.” “We love you Papa Francis!’ ‘You are a peaceful Pope- we want Kenyans to be peaceful people”.
