According to Apostolic Administrator of the diocese, Rt. Rev. Desiderius Rwoma, all is set for the celebration which will be graced by the presence of the president of Tanzania, His Excellency Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete and other dignitaries.
Speaking to the reporter the Bishop elect Mapunda Edward Bishop said that he is grateful to the Holy Father for the appointment and asked the faithful to pray for him as he is taking role of shepherding the diocese. ‘This appointment is the work of God and thus, cannot be accomplished without Him,” he said.
