Striving on the gospel of the good shepherd, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Zomba, Malawi visited friends of Zomba in the Archdiocese of Lilongwe to encourage them to be agents of evangelization.
Speaking during their encounter at
Mtimawoyera Parish on Saturday, August 31, Bishop Alfred Mateyu Chaima encouraged the faithful to
remain shining disciples of Christ, serving the Church with their God-given
talents and resources.
“Each one of you has a unique gift that
can make a significant contribution towards building God's kingdom, no matter
how small that may look,” said Bishop Chaima.
The leadership of the group applauded
the visit, saying it has motivated them to take an active role in Church
activities in the diocese of residence and home diocese.
The leaders further said the visit has
strengthened both their faith and commitment to serve the church
wholeheartedly.
During their encounter, Bishop Chaima
painted a picture of successes and challenges that are currently in their home
diocese, Zomba, while appealing to them to come forth with assistance.
The Bishop is also expected to visit the
Friends of Zomba Diocese in the Archdiocese of Blantyre and other dioceses to
strengthen ties with the diocese.
