Dodoma Diocese will on Sunday be officially inaugurated to be an Archdiocese in a ceremony that will also witness the installation of His Grace Beatus Kinyaiya as the first Archbishop of the Archdiocese.
Information received from Tanzania said that all the preparations are set and the event is going to attract guests from all over the country, including the First Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr . Mohamed Ghalib Bilal as a Special Guest.
Dodoma Archdiocese was elevated by Pope Francis to the status of an Archdiocese on November 6, 2014. It becomes the 6th Metropolitan Archdiocese in the country, together with Dar es Salaam, Tabora, Songea, Mwanza and Arusha.
The Metropolitan Archdiocese of Dodoma will incorporate the dioceses of Singida and Kondoa.
