In an effort to bridge the gap from Holy Childhood to youth ministry, the Diocese of Dedza will this coming Saturday 30th of October 2021, launch groups of St Charles Lwanga and St Benedeta in Ntcheu parish after the demand from animators of children for two years.
According to the Director of Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in the Dedza diocese, Fr Peter Ephraim Madeya, the groups will be composed of the youth aged between 14 to 17 years before they join the youth group at the age 18.
“On this day, we have planned so many activities that will happen after the Eucharistic celebration and we are expecting over 1,000 children from all parishes in the Diocese of Dedza. As of today 26th, of October 2021 over 610 children have registered their attendance,” said Fr Madeya.
He added that the life of Saint Charles Lwanga and Saint Benedeta and the rules of the group will be read to all the people that will present before the Mass. The spirituality of the group will be based on the life of these two patron saints.
