Fr. Stephen Omondi |
Fr. Omondi said the intention to become a nun or priest may be good but what it may also be corrupted along the way in a particular context or institutionalized system.
“Upon joining Sisterhood or ACEWECA, the intention may be perfect. For me to become a priest initially I was in a state of original innocence which is the opposite of original sin. We may have all the good intentions but on the way get corrupted as the letter of Saint Paul puts it.”
However, Fr. Omondi quoted the story of Saint Paul on his way to Damascus who started off with the intention of killing the Christians in Damascus but afterwards he was converted, adding that as they have come for the plenary they should go back with the original good intention they started with.
