The Apostolic Nuncio to Tanzania Most Rev Francisco Padilla has asked the Catholic faithful to support the church and take it as their duty attached to their call as believers.
The Apostolic Nuncio said this in Same Diocese where he had gone for pastoral visit following the invitation from Bishop Rogath Kimaryo of the Diocese last week. During his visit to the diocese the Apostolic Nuncio dedicated two new Churches.
“Our Church is rich in different charism from different people; some are employees, some farmers, some herders etc but what is needed is unity among us which is necessary in the evangelization work,” he said. He asked them to be strong in faith, remain in prayer and be compassionate to all.
“We should not preach about ourselves but Christ, who has risen from the dead,” he said adding that “We should seek the lost sheep of God, love them, protect them and give them hope.”
During the dedication of the churches, Archbishop Padilla also administered the Sacraments of baptism and Confirmation to the faithful of Same Diocese. Other activities the Apostolic Nuncio did included laying of the foundation stone for the Priests’ presbytery and blessing of the Grotto of the Virgin Mary which is within the premises of the Cathedral.
