Hundreds of Tanzanians have gathered for joint prayer in the area where a grisly accident occurred when a school bus went off the road and fell into a ditch in Karatu district.

The accident occurred when students of the Lucky Vincent English-Medium School in Arusha city were in route to sit for examination in Karatu, when their bus got an accident and over thirty school children, two teachers and a driver were perished.
Karatu District Commissioner, Theresia Mahongo who is the District chair of the committee on defence and security has thanked the clergy and the faithful altogether for their full cooperation after the accident. She said that the government offers thanks to all who participated in the whole event.
Speaking during the prayer, representative from Mbulu Catholic Diocese, Rev Fr Urbano Sulle asked believers to put aside their differences and pray together for the deceased, that they may rest in Peace.
He also warned drivers who are not abiding to traffic signs and cause accidents.
