The Holy Father Pope Francis appointed Bishop Gervas John Mwasikwabhila Nyaisonga of Dodoma, Tanzania, as Bishop of Mpanda Diocese on 17th February, 2014.
The Diocese of Mpanda fell vacant following the demise of Bishop William Pascal Kikoti who died on 28th August 2012.
Bishop Nyaisonga was born on 3rd November, 1966 in Tanzania. He was ordained a priest on 11th July 1996 and was Consecrated Bishop of Dodoma Tanzania, on 19th March, 2011.
